I Think You’ve Been Looking For Me

In 1969, Dorothy Steets, a young Catholic woman from New Jersey, is sexually assaulted and becomes pregnant. Shunned from her community, she is sent into hiding where her newborn son is quickly given up for adoption. After 48 years, Joe, the baby she had lost, finds Dorothy living in Montreal. Set in a defining chapter of their lives, the film chronicles their emotional reunion and nascent relationship through the eyes of Kacim, Dorothy’s youngest son. I Think You’ve Been Looking For Me exposes a dark chapter in our history that has had a lasting impact on thousands of families.
