This year the YFF has prepared a collection of films for the holiday season. Choose from a selection of: animation, comedy, documentary, and musical specials to loan from our festival DVD library this December. When It Was Christmas: A Collection of Stories

When It Was Christmas is a collection of stories from Christmas past in rural Canada. They reflect life in the 1930’s & 40’s and take us to a small town in Northern Ontario, a farming community on the Canadian prairie, a prosperous logging centre in Northern B.C. which no longer exists, and the budding urban setting of Vancouver, B.C. The stories evoke memories for those who lived those times, however the messages are timeless and speak to all about the beauty of the human spirit.

Jason McCoy Christmas at the Grand Live from Calgary

This year Jason McCoy is taking Christmas uptown. Join Jason and some very special guests including Colin James for his CMT Christmas special for the 2010 holiday season. But this isn’t your regular country Christmas. Set in Calgary’s marvelous Grand Theatre, this special features Jason playing both original songs as well as Christmas favourites backed by the nine‐piece Jason McCoy Orchestra. Songs are rocked out with horns or swung in the tradition of the great big bands.
