Screening Programs

The YFF runs several screening programs throughout the year in partnership with various organizations. A few of our notable screening programs are listed below. If you are interested in setting up a screening program partnership with the festival, please contact our office.

Fine Arts, Saskatoon Public Library

The Yorkton Film Festival and the Fine Arts Department at the Saskatoon Public Library collaborate in the organization of a number of screenings:

  • the SPL series, Discover Documentaries and Remembering World War I
  • an evening of film and discussion to honour International Women’s Day
  • a special event to celebrate the Yorkton Film Festival.

Golden Sheaf Award Sponsors

Nature Saskatchewan, the Painted Hand Development Corporation and the Saskatchewan Multicultural Association sponsor YFF Golden Sheaf Award Tours in categories appropriate to their mandates.

Open Cinema

In partnership with the Yorkton Public Library, the YFF hosts a monthly screening from October through March at the YPL. Each screening is intended for all audiences and is followed by a short discussion.

Spotlight on the News

Topical documentaries relevant to today’s current events. Screenings run throughout the year at the Godfrey Dean Cultural Centre.
