How should I dress?
We talk about the weather quite a bit here because we have lots of it – especially in the spring -- so check the forecast before you arrive in Yorkton and pack plenty of options. Lobsterfest is a predominantly outside event, with a small clubhouse that can accommodate a few dozen people at a time, but you will mostly have to deal with the elements as they are. We have had rain at Lobsterfest, we have had bright and sunny evenings and one time we even had snow.
How do I get to Lobsterfest?
Shuttles for registered delegates only run from the front of the Gallagher Centre starting at 5:30 pm on Friday. Shuttles are first-come-first serve, with drivers making regular trips back and forth until all delegates are shuttled to the location. The drive from the Gallagher Centre to the Yorkton Wildlife Clubhouse takes about 12 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Shuttle drivers will also take delegates back to Yorkton when they’re ready to leave for the evening; we will make sure that you have the means to get to and from the event.
Shuttles are only for registered Yorkton Film Festival delegates; we do not provide shuttles for local community members.
Is there a dress code for the awards gala?
Dress code is business attire.
