ScreenSask is at the YFF

Join us for the ScreenSask Summit @ YFF: Growing the Industry—Together. Scheduled for Sunday, May 24, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, this is a must-attend session for industry growth. Registration is available for an additional $25.00. Stay tuned—more details are on the way! 

• Student Passes: To qualify for student pricing, you are now required to upload a valid copy of your Student ID at the time of purchase.
• Free Screenings: The "Free Screening" ticket is intended for the general public only. If you have already purchased any paid registration pass, your entry to these screenings is already included—please do not register for a separate free ticket.

What You Can Do in the Industry Centre

The Industry Centre is where you’ll access all of YFF’s professional programming. Once you’re set up, you can:

Sign up for Roundtables

• Sit down with industry leaders, broadcasters, funders, and experienced creators in small-group conversations designed to be practical, candid, and interactive. Get direct insight, ask questions, and build relationships in a relaxed, conversational etting.
•  How it works: Browse available sessions in the Industry Centre and sign up for the ones that match your interests. Space is limited—early sign-up is recommended.

Request 1-on-1 Meetings

•  Request private meetings with attending executives, decision-makers, and industry professionals. This is your chance to pitch yourself, your project, or your slate directly to people who can help move it forward, or ask advice and seek mentorship 1-on-1.
•  How it works: Submit your meeting requests through the Industry Centre, selecting your top choices. Our team will review and schedule meetings based on availability and fit. Not all meetings are guaranteed.

Apply for the Collaboration Pitch Lunch

One of the most exciting opportunities at YFF—designed to spark real partnerships.

•  What it is: A curated pitching session where selected participants present project ideas and connect with potential collaborators at a luncheon event that brings all festival delegates together.
• Why it’s valuable: This is about building something together—finding creative and producing partners, and opening doors to future projects.
• How to apply: Submit your application through the Industry Centre.
• Deadline to apply: May 8

To access all this, you’ll need to create an Industry Centre account:

      2. Click Sign Up / Log In

      3. Create your account using your email

      4. Complete your profile

      5. Start registering for sessions and requesting meetings

Important: You must create an account to sign up for roundtables, request meetings or apply for the collaboration pitch.  You must be registered to attend the festival to be able to reserve a spot.

The 79th annual Yorkton Film Festival returns this year from May 20–24. We are proud to present an exceptional lineup featuring high-caliber programming and a distinguished roster of guest speakers. From captivating screenings to the filmmakers-favourite, Lobsterfest, the week culminates in the 2026 Golden Sheaf Awards gala, where we will announce this year’s winners.
